EVERYDAY BATTLE

I grew up in a family of achievers. Growing up, I was and I am independent. I was once a visionary man who always sees positivity in my life. Now, I am currently in college, taking up Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English. It was hard, every single day is a battle. Apart from being an achiever, I was also a student leader and student-journalist. I work as a broadcaster, writer, and a Managing Editor of two of the university's publication. Yeah, it gives me satisfaction doing what I love, and serving student body and the university community. Now, I don't think I still could do it to concur academics with being leader and journalist. Yeah, full of pressure, and time demands me in those organizations. There are times I couldn't attend classes, forget about my well-being, and gave me stresses. I am afraid of failure, that's why, I am doing everything that I can to prove myself—my capabilities and what else I can do and what I can offer. Giving my best is good, but giving my self isn't. This story is an encouragement to everyone to never push yourself to the limit if it will cause to self drain. Never do what you don't really want to do. In the end, you will still appreciate yourself and make yourself valuable. Achievements are good, but, it's not the basis and the measurement of how good we really are. Give time for yourself and allow yourself to explore life's adventures.
